Our services

SGW Accountancy Services Ltd really is a 'one-stop shop' providing all the accountancy and advisory support needs of small to medium sized businesses.

We refer to the services we offer as business modules and clients can select one or more to suit their needs. You might, for example, want to enjoy the full range of services we offer.  Or you might want us simply to do your book-keeping and prepare your tax and VAT returns.

We should add that our modules are not inflexible packages but can be tailored to individual and company requirements.  And even if you are happy with the service you receive from another firm, you can still select one of our modules to complement what your other provider does for you. Our approach will be to add value to and complement the support that's already in place

Our core modules include:

Accounts production:
a set of bound annual accounts together with a balance sheet and profit and loss account - and if required, quarterly management accounts and any submissions required by Companies House.
Tax returns:
whether personal, partnership or corporation tax returns, SGW Accountancy Services Ltd can present these for your approval accompanied by a detailed tax computation for forthcoming payment dates.
SGW Accountancy Services Ltd can administer all the finance related paperwork for your business at a frequency that best suits you, including cash book, a quarterly VAT report, annual Sale and Purchase ledgers, trial balance, periodic management accounts and any necessary submissions to HM Customs and Revenue.
Payroll services:
A perennial burden for employers, particularly with the onus on them rather than civil servants to implement an ongoing programme of Government initiatives, many small and medium sized businesses have decided that the time is now right to seek the help of SGW Accountancy Services Ltd.

How does it work?  Well, after receiving your weekly, monthly or fortnightly data either over the telephone or via email we will normally process your payroll within 24 hours - with payslips delivered via email or through the post.  Thereafter, we will present you with a payroll summary, payslips for each employee and a breakdown of your liabilities. Our payroll service also offers
  • a fixed annual fee quoted in advance
  • no set up fee
  • P45s, P60s and P14s processed on your behalf
  • no extra charges no matter how many new starters or leavers
  • online submission of end of year returns.
Business start-ups:
There are many challenges when you start up a business.  Whether you're registering as self-employed or as a sole trader or forming a partnership or a limited company, there are processes to go through.

We can work with you to manage the process step by step as you set up your new business venture.
Cash-flow forecasts:
Cash availability can make all the difference to you business and whether it prevails or struggles. For this reason the flow of cash into and out from a business is a vital dynamic and needs careful management.  SGW Accountancy Services Ltd can help you manage your business' income and expenditure, identify cash flow problems and recommend how to avoid them. A cash flow forecast can also be an invaluable business aid - ensuring you have enough predicted cash, for example, before undertaking any major financial commitment.
Business planning:
From understanding the nature off your business proposition to identifying any knowledge/skills gaps, we will work with you to prepare a business plan which can be presented to potential associates, investors and your bank. We can also help to determine sensible monthly profit and loss forecasts and forecast balance sheet for your first three years of operation.
